GAFCON & the Pilling Report

GAFCON seems to be doing a bit of sabre rattling (here) in the aftermath of the Pilling Report (here). The CofE website (here) says

'The document offers findings and recommendations to form part of that process of facilitated conversations. It is not a new policy statement from the Church of England.'
(note: the part in bold in the quote above is as it is on the website.)

It strikes me that the CofE was trying to create a bit of distance between themselves and the report even as they were publishing it. But not enough, it seems, to keep GAFCON happy.

I wonder where this is all going? Will it actually end in rupture or will the CofE's seemingly endless ability to 'muddle through' and keep all parties together if not happy exactly continue to hold? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
